Photofacial acne treatment utilizes Forever Clear’s Broad Band Light (BBL™) technology as an alternative to medications like Accutane. BBL™ uses short wavelengths in the blood light spectrum. What to Expect
The BBL Photofacial has many benefits: it’s fast, non-invasive, and requires no downtime. Your Photofacial acne treatment can take as little as 30 minutes. First, a thin layer of gel will be applied to the skin to improve the laser’s effectiveness and your comfort. As the top layers of the skin are heated, you may feel a slight stinging sensation as skin blemishes on the surface are destroyed. Collagen and elastin are also stimulated to give your skin a firmer, brighter complexion.
Photofacial Acne Treatment Results and Recovery
After this laser treatment, minor redness and swelling are common for 1-2 days. For optimal results, a series of 8 weekly treatments is recommended along with maintenance treatments every 1-2 months depending on the severity of your acne.
