My Ultherapy Experience

The countdown has begun – 60 days before my daughter’s wedding. It has been months of planning, decision making and now suddenly I realize I need to do something to look my best for her special day.
Thank goodness for Blume Skin and Body and their professional staff. It all begins with a free consultation to discuss treatment options. I am definitely in need of some lifting in my lower face and neck. Aging and gravity is the enemy of the over 50 crowd. The recommendation – Ultherapy! I was given all the information I needed to make my decision.
Ultherapy uses focused ultra sound to lift and tighten loose skin. It’s a non-invasive treatment with no downtime. The focused ultrasound pulse generates a thermal affect deep below the skin surface. This procedure stimulates the growth of new collagen over time. The final results are seen within two to six months depending on the individual.
The actual treatment is about an hour, but expect to spend another 30 minutes numbing. The Ultherapy Laser Technician will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment areas. Dr. Blume or Dr. Mary Romero can prescribe medication for comfort management for those who feel they need a little something beyond the numbing cream.
I found the treatment to be not so bad. The pulses were quick and tolerable. I also believe the Laser Technician that gives the treatment is very important. I found it so helpful to be reassured and given information about what was coming next. Patience and professionalism goes a long way in keeping a patient calm and relaxed.
I had my photo taken before the treatment and I am excited to have my after photos taken in a couple months to see my results. I feel confident that I will look my best for my daughter’s wedding.
