Be Careful Out There

Buying a “knock-off” watch, purse, or piece of clothing may violate a manufacturer’s legal rights. It is not the same with illegal injectables. Botox, Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, and other dermal fillers are also copied these days. The difference is that this is dangerous as it is injected into you! Who really knows what is in these skin care products? There are potentially serious and severe complications associated with these injectables. Looking only for price and not value may lead you to one of these of injectors if not careful. There are many high volume, low cost injectors around. Nonetheless, you may sacrifice quality, comfort, outcomes, or safety if not careful
There are two types of illegal and possible dangerous products about which to be aware. First are illegal “knock offs” that are labeled as the original but are not. Then there are the products that state they are the same as another (Botox for example) but really do not perform the same way.
Also, understand that if you are injected with Botox or dermal fillers from outside the United States, like Mexico or Canada, these are also illegal. That’s right. They are not FDA approved and as such are illegal even if the product is the same. The injector can even be arrested and go to jail. Can you imagine being half way through with an injection and have a federal marshal come in to remove the injector before you are done?
Please remember quality and safety. The profit margins are higher on illegal and counterfeit products leading some injectors to buy them. It is you who will suffer even if you pay a lower price. Remember your mother’s old adage. “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” Go for value which encompasses price AND quality.
