Lip Fillers: Naturally full lips

Have you ever thought about lip filler?  Like me you have probably thought, “I am happy with my lips.  I don’t think I need lip filler. “

WOW!  So glad I made the decision to go forward!  Not only are my lips fuller but the definition that my lips have now is so natural.

Our nurse Julie Mallon, RN explained how Restylane Refyne would be a perfect filler for what I wanted for my lips.  Julie took her time and assessed my lips.  She discussed with me my options whether I would want more fullness in my lips or if I wanted a more of a smooth and natural look.  I chose smooth and natural since this was my first lip filler.

She first applied topical numbing cream on my lips for approximately 15-20 minutes.  She then proceeded to explain where she would be injecting first and so on.  I was so comfortable and she talked to me throughout each step of the treatment.  As she injected each area of my lips, she also explained that there was lidocaine and Restylane Refyne in the syringe which also helped numb my lips while she was injecting.  She made me feel so at ease during and after the procedure.  To my surprise it was not as painful as what I thought or what I had been told.  After Julie was finished injecting my lips, she applied ice and Alastin Skin Nectar.  She explained that my lips would be swollen for at least 2 to 5 days and may have some bruising and tenderness in my lips as well.

The aftercare was simple.  I applied Alastin Skin Nectar every day to not only help with less bruising but also helped support the skin’s natural ability to produce new, healthy elastin and collagen.  Alastin Skin Nectar is also an antioxidant to calm skin and reduce the appearance of redness.
