What is Radio Frequency Microneedling?

The Blume Skin Centre has recently added to our treatment options Radio Frequency Microneedling. The Blume Skin Centre has purchased the Pollogen Legend+ with Radio Frequency Skin Tightening and Microneedling. Pollogen calls the treatment Voluderm™ to reduce the signs of aging and regenerate your skin.
I had my first treatment on Friday, July 17 in the morning. Caitlin Sixbey, Lead Laser Techinician, performed my treatment. See my photo of the actual treatment. The treatment was fast, did not hurt and I had no down time. I also had Caitlin draw my blood for my own Protien Rich Plasma (PRT) to help with cell turnover and quicken my recovery time.
After the treatment I was red, like I a sunburn. I worked the rest of the day and when I left for home I was only a little red and was able to wear Oxygenetix™ , our Oxygenating Foundation. My husband and I went out for dinner and he didn’t notice that I had a treatment.
The day after the treatment (see photo), I had a few tiny crusts and mild redness. My skin felt firm and tight. On Monday, I was back to work and my skin was glowing.
The VoluDerm™, Radio Frequency Microneedling, tip uses fine micro-pins and radio frequency technology to trigger the body’s natural healing response mechanism. This stimulates the body to naturally produce hyaluronic acid, new collagen and elastin. VoluDerm™ treatments result in long-term wrinkle reduction, skin resurfacing and facial lifting effect leaving your skin tighter, firmer and refreshed. My pore size is smaller and my overall texture is improved.
The treatment took about an hour and I plan to have a second treatment in four weeks’ time. The Blume Skin Centre has the VoluDerm™ treatment on special for $400 for July and August 2015.
