Posted on May 28, 2014 by Dr. Blume in Botox
Almost everyone knows that Botox helps fine lines and wrinkles. It is also used for hyperhidrosis or abnormally excess sweating, migraine and other eye problems. But, Botox can also be used for teeth clenching that causes pain around the jaw line. There are people who wake in the morning after clenching all night. This is usually caused by the masseter muscle in the face. Injecting a little Botox into that muscle decreases grinding of the teeth while you sleep and relieves the pain you have the next day. Once you discover the difference it may totally eradicate the action and resulting pain.
